Adding scene import for ARIA standard products
Could you advice or help with the development of a scene import from the ARIA standard product?
The JPL ARIA project has been generating a standard InSAR displacement products (https://aria.jpl.nasa.gov/node/97), which are available for free and open download to the community using ARIA-products page (http://aria-products.jpl.nasa.gov/) and the ASF vertex page (https://search.asf.alaska.edu/#/) under beta-products. An online git repository has been developed for manipulating the products (https://github.com/aria-tools/ARIA-tools).
The products are netcdf 4 and have data in group folders. Contributions have been made to GDAL to handle netcdf and groups. The products are compatible with GDAL=>3.0. Layers such as unwrapped phase, incidence, and azimuth angle can be extracted easily using the ARIA-tools repository including stitching if needed.
we would be glad to write an import class for ARIA. The easiest way would be if you could provide us some example scripts/ dataset to fiddle with.
Thats great. Sure that should not be a problem. Probably the best would be to add a generic GDAL reader. ARIA products are fully compatible with GDAL, i.e. have no-data values, projection and transformation included.
I should be able to provide you with an example some time this week, once we have completed the UNAVCO short-course at JPL. Stay tuned.

Kite development is still coordinated at GitHub (https://github.com/pyrocko/kite), guess we will move the repo here in September.
